Queens Park Rangers have offered Loic Remy a new contract in order to fend off interest from potential suitors, according to the Metro.
The France international, who was part of Didier Deschamps’ squad for this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, was on the verge of completing a move to Liverpool in the summer though the deal fell through at the eleventh hour.
He has played every minute of the Hoops’ opening two league games so far this season, but is still generating interest from elsewhere with Monday’s transfer deadline looming.
Chelsea, who has lost new signing Diego Costa to a minor muscular injury, have been linked with a move for the 27 year old, though manager Harry Redknapp is keen to secure his services.
QPR currently sit bottom of the Premier League ahead of tomorrow afternoon’s home match against Sunderland, where the hosts can be backed at 7/5 for the win.
