Queens Park Rangers are closing in on the signing of Leroy Fer from Norwich City, according to the Mail Online.
The midfielder, who only moved to Carrow Road last summer, was one of only a few stand-out performers for the Canaries last season, though he was unable to help them avoid relegation the Championship.
He made thirty-three appearances in all competitions for the Norfolk club, scoring four goals while he also featured for the Netherlands at this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.
Hoops manager Harry Redknapp has brought in four new faces for this, the clubs first campaign back in the top flight, with defenders Rio Ferdinand and Steven Caulker and midfielders Jordan Mutch and Mauricio Isla all arriving in the close season.
The London club, who began the season with a 1-0 defeat to Hull City at the weekend, travel to Redknapp’s former club Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
