Queens Park Rangers have continued their spending spree this summer by signing former Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa, reports the Daily Mail.
Bosingwa was released by Chelsea at the end of last season and despite having several offers across Europe, he has decided to remain in London with QPR.
This is another high-profile signing for Mark Hughes as he looks to build an extremely strong squad to avoid struggling as much as they did last season.
Bosingwa -who won the Champions League with the Stamford Bridge club last season – is the latest in a long list of new arrivals, including Robert Green and Ji-Sung Park.
Looking back at his Chelsea career, it is fair to say that he never fully settled following his £16m move. He won plenty of trophies, but was never an automatic first choice at the club.
This is something he hopes changes at Loftus Road. He enjoys being in London and the Premier League, but he will want to be plenty more matches in the next few months.
In other QPR news, it is being reported that former skipper Joey Barton could be on his way to Marseille for a year long loan deal.
The Telegraph is this morning suggesting that the move could happen after Barton wasn’t given a squad number for the new season.
