UAE club Al Ahli have announced the signing of former Porto winger Ricardo Quaresma.
The Dubai-based club’s president Abdulla Al Naboodah announced the signing via his Twitter account, with the official announcement set to follow.
O Jogo understands that the Portugal international has signed a one-and-a-half-year deal worth €1.5 million per campaign.
With Al Ahli only allowed to have three foreign players in the squad, one of Luis Jimenez, Grafite and Achille Emana is set to leave the club.
Ricardo Quaresma had his contract at Besiktas rescinded in December and was heavily linked with a return to Porto since.
Galatasaray also expressed interest in signing the highly rated winger, but the player ultimately decided to accept an offer from Qatar.
The team led by former Valencia boss Quique Sanchez Flores sit in third place in the league standings after 13 rounds, eight points adrift of leaders Al Ain.
