Competition: Premier League
Market: QPR to appoint Chris Ramsey as permanent manager
Odds: 1/2 @ Bet 365
Queens Park Rangers owner Tony Fernandes released an interest statement about the search for the future manager of the club, suggesting such personnel had already been chosen. Former Tottenham head coach Tim Sherwood and ex-Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup have both been ruled out of the running, and it appears current caretaker boss Chris Ramsey could be the man to replace Harry Redknapp.
Ramsey recently enjoyed the Hoops’ first away win of the season, with the Londoners beating Sunderland 2-0 at the Stadium of Light, and he’s made no secret of his desire to take the job on a fulltime basis. He appears to be currently unopposed to get the job permanently, and Bet 365 are giving odds of 1/2 for Ramsey to be appointed.
He was quickly made caretaker following Harry Redknapp’s resignation from the club, and it seems the players are happy to have him on a fulltime basis too. Earning Rangers’ first away win in the Premier League this season is a good way to stake your claim.
