Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing Joe Gelhardt from Leeds United in the January transfer window, according to Football League World. The report has claimed that QPR are keen on a loan deal for Gelhardt in the middle of the season.
Gelhardt is struggling for playing time at Leeds at the moment. The 22-year-old forward has fallen down the pecking order in head coach Daniel Farke’s team. The English youngster has played only nine minutes in the Championship and has played once in the Carabao Cup for the Whites so far this season.
Football League World has noted that QPR face competition from other clubs for the signing of Gelhardt. Rangers, Plymouth Argyle, Portsmouth, Preston North End and Stoke City all have been linked with the forward. Leeds are aiming to win automatic promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of the season.
