Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing Isaac Hayden from Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, according to journalist Darren Witcoop. The reporter has claimed that Hayden could be heading out on loan from Newcastle, with QPR among the clubs in the Championship keen on securing the services of the 29-year-old, who can operate as a defensive midfielder or as a centre-back.
Witcoop wrote on X: “Appears that Isaac Hayden will now be heading on loan from Newcastle rather than any permanent exit. QPR among the Championship clubs keen on bringing Hayden back. #QPR.”
Hayden has been on the books of Newcastle since 2016. The English defender has scored four and given six assists in 118 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. QPR finished 18th in the Championship table last season, while Newcastle ended up seventh in the Premier League standings.
