Bayern Munich maintained their lead in Group F with a clear victory over Fiorentina while Olympique battled to a win at Steaua to move into second place.
Only four minutes had been played at the Allianz Arena when Miroslav Klose opened the score for the Bavarians.
Bayern extended their lead through Bastian Schweinsteiger in the 25th minute and a late goal from Zé Roberto set the score to 3-0.
Olympique de Lyon struggled to get past Steaua but did eventually take the points in a spectacular match.
Goals from Arthuro and Goian give the Romanians an early and comfortable lead but Keita and Benzema reacted to make it 2-2.
Petre scored just before the break to make it 3-2 but Lyon struck in the second half with Fred levelling in the 69th minute and Benzema turning things around altogether two minutes later.
Fred added a second to his account in the 90th minute to make it 3-5.
Bayern have seven points from three games and lead this group, while Lyon are second with five points. Fiorentina (2 points) and Steaua (1) face a tough task in the remaining matches.
