Portsmouth FC have won the 2008 FA Cup final, beating Welsh side Cardiff City 1-0 at Wembley Stadium.
Cardiff showed great motivation in the first half but couldn’t prevent Nigerian striker Nwankwo Kanu to score the opening goal after 37 minutes.
A cross from the right was badly dealt with by goalkeeper Enckelman and Kanu took advantage from short range.
The match slowed down a little in the second half as Cardiff weren’t as convincing as they had been until the goal.
Despite four minutes of added time, Portsmouth successfully defended their lead to take their second FA Cup after winning their first no less than 69 years ago, in 1939.
