Chelsea earned a narrow win over Roma to defend their top spot in Champions League Group A, while Girondins de Bordeaux keep hope alive with a small win over Cluj.
The match between Chelsea and Roma wasn’t as entertaining as hoped in advance, and neither side really managed to make a difference.
Chelsea did dominate though and got their reward when captain John Terry headed home on 77 minutes.
Bordeaux needed a good result after two defeats and the French would take the points thanks to an own goal from Cadú in the 54th minute.
Chelsea lead with seven points from three games. Cluj are still second with four points but now have both Roma and Bordeaux right behind with three points each.
