Internazionale walk away from their competition with a narrow win over Anorthosis, while Panathinaikos and Werder Bremen held each other to a 2-2 draw.

A single goal from Brazilian striker Adriano was enough for Inter to take the victory against Anorthosis.

The Italians remain first in this group with seven points, while the Cypriots do continue to occupy place two with four points.

More goals were scored in Athens, where Per Mertesacker put Bremen ahead in the 29th minute but Mantzios levelled seven minutes later.

Mantzios went on to turn things around altogether in the 68th minute but Hugo Almeida equalised with seven minutes to go.

Werder are third in the group with three points, while Panathinaikos are in trouble with just one point.
