No goals were scored at the first-leg match between Italian champions Internazionale and European title defenders Manchester United at San Siro stadium.
Manchester United were particularly dominant in the first half, and had a great chance early on as a Cristiano Ronaldo header from close range was parried by keeper Julio Cesar, who would save his side on many occasions.
Inter had their own opportunities as well but striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic lacked concentration as the Scandinavian failed to convert any.
A powerful free kick from Cristiano Ronaldo, three minutes into added time, again found Julio Cesar in its path.
Inter will be the happier side following Tuesday’s goalless draw, as a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on March 11th would be enough for the Italians to advance.
