(GSM) – Bayern Munich easily defended their lead over Olympique Lyon to advance to the final of this year’s UEFA Champions League.
After winning the home match 1-0, Bayern knew that scoring just one goal in Lyon would force the French to score three.
And that goal came on 26 minutes when Thomas Müller combined with Arjen Robben before laying back on Ivica Olic, who collected, turned around and directed the ball past keeper Lloris for 0-1.
Lyon’s Cris was sent off with a second yellow card just before the hour, and knew that their European adventure had come to an end when Olic added his second after a pass from Hamit Altintop in the 67th minute.
And the striker completed his hat-trick 11 minutes later, heading home from a right-winged cross.
In the final, which will be played in Madrid, Bayern will face either Internazionale or Barcelona.
