Internazionale have won the 2007-08 Serie A title with a hard-fought 2-0 win Parma on Sunday.
A win was enough for Inter to secure the championship. A draw or a loss would allow AS Roma to surpass the Nerazzurri on the final day.
The first half had Inter struggling in the rain, but the team gained strength after Zlatan Ibrahimovic entered the pitch in the 51st minute, replacing César.
Ten minutes after coming on, the Swedish striker netted Inter’s first. With twelve minutes left, Ibrahimovic also scored the second to secure the 2008 Scudetto.
AS Roma were heading for a win at Catania with a goal from Vucinic in the 8th minute, but Martinez earned catania a point in the 85th minute. For Catania that is enough to get past Parma in the battle against relegation.
Parma, Empoli and Livorno will play next season in the Serie B.
