Portsmouth FC had their chances of playing in next season’s UEFA Cup tournament reduced by Blackburn Rovers.
No goals were scored during the first 73 minutes in Portsmouth, but then it was Roque Santa Cruz to finally break the deadlock in Rovers’ advantage.
Portsmouth are in seventh place, two points behind Aston Villa who have a game in hand. Spots five and six are good enough for a UEFA Cup berth.
Blackburn follow in eighth position at two points from Portsmouth.
