After their convincing display against Croatia, England showed to have maintained a good shape as they beat Kazakhstan 5-1 on Saturday.

It wasn’t an easy win though as the home side needed until the 52nd minute to open the score as Rio Ferdinand heading in at the far post.

Kuchma then helped the English with an own goal in the 64th minute but Zhambyl Kukeyev limited the damage four minutes later, 2-1.

Wayne Rooney showed himself in the 76th minute, heading home from a Wes Brown cross, and the striker added another ten minutes later after a free kick from David Beckham.

The fifth and final goal came from in-form Jermain Defoe in the 90th minute, to help England to a comfortable 5-1 victory.
