(GSM) – Portsmouth defied the odds to reach the English FA Cup final. In Sunday’s semi final with Tottenham Hotspur, Pompey scored twice in extra time to decide the clash.

After a goalless 90 minutes, extra time was needed to separate these teams of which the Spurs were by far the favorite side to win.

But nine minutes had passed in the first half of extra time when Frederic Piquionne beat keeper Gomes for 1-0.

And the match was all but decided with three minutes to play as Aruna Dindane was hauled down in the penalty area and Kevin Prince Boateng blasted the spot kick into the left corner and out of Gomes’ reach.

Portsmouth, including their veteran goalkeeper David James, will face Chelsea in the final.
