According to AS, Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot could join Real Madrid this summer.
The midfielder has been out of the PSG squad for refusing to sign a new deal for a long time now. His current contract expires at the end of the season, and he is all but gone from the Parc Des Princes.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs, Barcelona first and foremost, but also the likes of Juventus, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Arsenal. However, as the Spanish outlet claims, he may yet shock his reported suitors in Catalonia by going to Real Madrid instead. Such a development would indeed be a great shock for Barcelona, even though they reportedly pulled the plug on a potential deal to bring him to Camp Nou themselves.
Rabiot was apparently on Real’s radar last summer as a replacement for Mateo Kovačić who left to join Chelsea, but the deal fell through after Zinedine Zidane resigned from his position as head coach. Now the Frenchman is back, and apparently still wants his compatriot to join him at the Santiago Bernabeu.
