The talented Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge is starting to emerge as one of the hottest prospects in European football.
Genk star has been the subject of intense interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Everton, and Spanish side Sevilla during the summer transfer window with his club waving away approaches for the 19-year-old.
Although the player himself seems to be happy with his club’s clear stance regarding his future, the January transfer window could bring the heat up on Belgian giants to sell the teenager.
According to the Spanish media outlet Estadio Deportivo, La Liga outfit Sevilla are prepared to step up the chase for the midfielder who has been identified as the future N’Zonzi.
The French midfielder is widely expected to leave Rojiblancos and Sevilla sporting director Oscar Arias seems to have made it his personal challenge to try and land the promising Norwegian.
Berge has been a first-team regular for Genk since the start of the new season, making six starts already in Belgian First Division A.
