French daily newspaper L’Equipe can reveal that there are a total of three clubs in the running for Adriano Leite’s signature.
The player’s agent confirmed yesterday that his client had received an invitation from Ligue 2 side Le Havre, hinting that a move to France was a realistic possibility.
However, les Ciel et Marine are not the only side interested in his services, with Mexican Club America and Qatari Al-Jazira also in the mix.
Adriano has been a free agent since leaving Atletico Paranense in the summer, but it appears he is finally ready to return to football.
The controversial forward has spent last five years in Brazil, representing Flamengo, Corinthains and Atletico Paranense, while enjoying a short loan spell with AS Roma.
Adriano played his best football at Inter Milan, where he scored 48 goals in 123 Serie A matches during the two spells with the Nerazzurri, while also playing for Parma and Fiorentina in Italy.
