Race hots up for Croatian starlet

Sky Sports is reporting that a number of Europe’s top sides are considering moves for Dinamo Zagreb striker Duje Cop.

The Croatian, who had bagged 22 goals in 33 league appearances last term, has been in stunning form this season, netting six times in four league matches.

He is believed to have been the subject of a €3 million bid from Sporting Lisbon, who need to sign a replacement for wantaway forward Islam Slimani.

Meanwhile, clubs from English Premier League are thought to be keeping close tabs, whilst Schalke, Stuttgart, Fiorentina and Torino are in the race as well.

Dinamo Zagreb appear to be holding out for €5 million as they understand they won’t be able to keep hold of their star player for much longer.

The 25-year-old has been in scintillating form over the last few weeks, having scored a total of 8 goals in last 5 fixtures in all competitions.
