FC Basel forward Breel Embolo could be moving clubs as early as January, according to his official representative.
The talented footballer has already caught the eye of quite a few Bundesliga clubs, with Wolfsburg and Borussia M’gladbach attempting to recruit the 18-year-old in the summer.
Having failed in their quest, the German giants look set to reignite their interest in the winter and Embolo’s agent admits a January exit could be in the cards even if both the player and his employers would prefer to part ways at the end of the season.
“Breel did not choose a club yet – neither VfL Wolfsburg nor another club,” agent Erdin Shaqiri told Sport Bild, adding that a January exit could not be ruled out.
Breel Embolo has already shown a great deal of potential at senior level and he quickly developed into an important player for both club and country.
The Cameroon-born striker decided to represent Switzerland at international level, already earning seven caps and scoring one goal. Meanwhile, he has bagged impressive 14 goals in 43 league appearances for FC Basel.
