Voetbal International understands that PSV Eindhoven as well as several Russian clubs are showing interest in Heerenveen playmaker Filip Djuricic.
The talented youngster has largely impressed playing for Marco van Basten’s side and has seen his name linked with a host of Europe’s top clubs.
Russian Premier League sides Lokomotiv Moscow, Spartak Moscow and Zenit are believed to be closely following the 20-year-old, with PSV Eindhoven the latest club to have joined the race.
“The minute we lose an attacking midfielder, he becomes an interesting player,” PSV Eindhoven technical manager Marcel Brands was quoted as saying in Voetbal International.
With star midfielder Ola Toivonen set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, the Eredivisie leaders are expected to step up their interest in Djuricic.
Heerenveen technical director Johan Hansma reveals that the player has expressed his desire to leave the club at the end of the season.
“He has indicated to us that he plans to take the next step after this season,” Hansma said to Voetbal International.
Filip Djuricic is widely regarded as one of the most talented attacking midfielder in Dutch Eredivisie, and he has scored 15 goals in 79 league games for the club.
