Bundesliga outfit Hamburg are the latest side to have shown interest in Lorient striker Kevin Gameiro, who is widely tipped to leave the club in January.
HSV scouts have already watched the diminutive forward in action several times this season and they are content with what they have seen.
The German club see Gameiro as a perfect replacement for Mladen Petric, with the Croatian forward likely to leave the club in January.
Nonetheless, with Liverpool, Tottenham, Valencia and few other clubs also keen on the 23-year-old, Lorient are holding out for €15 million.
“We would not sell for below €15 million. Extending the contract of Kevin Gameiro is always our goal,” said Lorient president, Loic Fery.
“Kevin appreciates what he wants from his new contract given his new status and we are discussing these things.”
