Lyon wonder boy Houssem Aouar is attracting plenty of attention from Europe’s top clubs this season.
The France Under 21 international is one of the hottest prospects in French football at the moment and his fantastic performances for Lyon this term have caught the eye of both Liverpool and Barcelona.
The Merseyside club almost grabbed the Lyon talent before he signed a professional deal with the French club but will now face a difficult challenge of beating the Catalan giants to his signature.
Reds are prepared to invest a significant amount of Philippe Coutinho cash to bring in the highly-rated 19-year-old talent who’s been a key component of Lyon’s squad this campaign.
Aouar amassed 25 Ligue 1 appearances since breaking into the first team last summer and also bagged a healthy return of six goals for his team.
In addition to Liverpool and Barcelona, the north London giants Arsenal are also said to be keeping a close eye on the young Frenchman.
