Le 10 Sport is reporting that a number of top European clubs are showing interest in Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala.
The French stopper has been deemed surplus to requirements by new manager Pep Guardiola and he wasn’t even in the match squad for the opening fixture against Sunderland.
Everything suggests Mangala will be allowed to leave by the end of the summer transfer window, and top clubs are already casting admiring glances his way.
AC Milan and Valencia are both keen on the 25-year-old footballer, but the problem is that he would prefer to remain in England.
However, it is realistic to expect that Mangala will change his mind if clubs from England fail to express interest in his services, as he clearly does not want to sit in the stands for Manchester City.
The Frenchman had joined Man City in a €40 million deal from FC Porto two years ago, but he never managed to prove his worth in England, despite making 48 Premier League appearances.
