Race hots up for Michel Bastos

The agent of Lyon winger Michel Bastos says that his client is likely to choose his next destination some time next week.

The Brazil international has already set his sights on leaving Gerland following a very disappointing season with Lyon and he has no shortage of offers.

Juventus are thought to be leading the race for his signature, but Inter and Tottenham are also keen.

The player’s agent admits there is nothing new regarding the transfer, but adds that next week could be crucial for the player.

“There is nothing new for the moment, but we will have a much better idea some time next week,” Emmanuel De Kerchove told L’Equipe.

The Brazilian is set to receive an EU passport, which should further increase the interest in his services.
