Racing Club de Avellaneda have confirmed a number of European clubs are showing interest in midfielder Ricardo Centurion.
Centurion, 19, has exploded onto the big stage this season and is heavily tipped to make a move to Europe in either January or summer transfer window.
Napoli are believed to be keen on the highly rated midfielder, but Racing manager Robero Ayala denies they have received an official bid for the player’s services.
“Racing have not been officially contacted by any club,” Ayala was quoted as saying in A Bola.
However, he states “there have been some approaches by agents who wanted to know conditions for a transfer”.
Ayala also admits that clubs from all over Europe are closely following Ricardo Centurion.
“Racing have received enquiries from England, Spain, Italy and Portugal.”
Ricardo Centurion came through the youth ranks at Racing and made two league appearances last season.
He quickly developed into a first team regular at Estadio Presidente Juan Domingo Peron, scoring 2 goals in 17 league starts this term.
Centurion also received an Argentina call-up in September, but didn’t get a chance to win his first cap.
