(GSM) – Racing of Uruguay are through to the group phase of the Copa Libertadores following a 2-0 win in the return leg with Colombian outfit Atletico Junior.

The first leg ended in a 2-2 result, and Racing needed only 13 minutes to score the opener in the second as Liber Quiñones converted a penalty.

Junior kept pressure on their opponents, knowing that they now needed to score two goals to survive in the tournament, but the final shot lacked at the end of most attacks.

Instead, Quiñones added a second against the run of play for a 2-0 final result and 4-2 on aggregate.

In the group phase, Racing meet with Corinthians of Brazil, Cerro Porteño of Paraguay and Independiente Medellin of Colombia.
