AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan is set to be rewarded with a new and improved deal, Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.
The Belgian footballer has been a key member of the squad at Stadio Olimpico for a couple of years now, and he was heavily linked with a summer exit.
But, even though he received a lucrative offer from Chelsea, Nainggolan didn’t want to leave the Giallorossi, and he will now be rewarded for his loyalty.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the central midfielder will see his yearly salary increased to €5 million, and the agreement will soon be made official.
Radja Nainggolan, 28, has so far made 112 competitive appearances for the Giallorossi, scoring 13 goals and setting up another 12.
AS Roma didn’t have the best of starts to a new league campaign, but they can now be backed at 9/1 to lift the Serie A trophy.
