Former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has hinted at a possibility of joining Inter for a second spell.
The Spaniard arrived to Giuseppe Meazza as a replacement for Jose Mourinho, but was soon replaced by Leonardo.
“It was a great experience,” the Spaniard told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I won two trophies in six months, one of which was the Intercontinental title. I also had a good relationship with the fans as they always supported me.
“We’d certainly need to clear up some issues, but I don’t have any problems with anyone. Maybe I could return…”
Benitez says that he didn’t receive the proper backing from the club in the transfer market.
“A lot of promises were made to me, but they bought me nothing. I asked for Javier Mascherano, as well as Alexis Sanchez in January – Barcelona’s big summer signing – who cost half the price back then.”
