Napoli are about to sign Rafa Marin from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. The well-known and well-respected Italian journalist has reported on X that Serie A club Napoli and La Liga outfit Madrid have reached an agreement in principle over a deal for Marin.
Romano has noted that it will take a few days for the transfer to go through, but everything is in place for the deal to happen. Marin himself will put pen to paper on a long-term contract in the coming days.
The journalist wrote on X: “Napoli and Real Madrid already reached an agreement in principle for Rafa Marín.
“It will take some days to get it signed as structure of the deal will also include a buy back clause.
“Rafa Marín will sign his long term deal in the next days. Here we go, soon.”
Marin has been on the books of Madrid since 2016, but the 22-year-old central defender has failed to establish himself in the first team. The Spain Under-21 international spent last season on loan at Alaves. The youngster made 27 starts and six substitute appearances in La Liga.
