Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers pulled off a major coup as they completed the signing of Spanish forward Rafa Mir.
The 20-year-old was signed for an undisclosed fee from Valencia, signing a deal until June 2022.
Rafa Mir was looking to leave los Che for greener pastures, and he was on the verge of joining Real Madrid.
However, former Valencia boss Nuno Espirito Santo then made a move and somehow managed to persuade the youngster to join Wolverhampton instead.
“Nuno played a big part of my decision to come here,” Mir said.
“I’m really excited to play with this team. It’s a club that has already played in the Premier League. It’s one of the biggest clubs in England and I’m really looking forward to my time with Wolves.”
Rafael Mir Vicente impressed to score 15 goals in 19 appearances for Valencia B this season and he will be hoping to continue the rich vein of form in England.
