According to Kicker, Bayern Munich defender Rafinha is set to leave the German club at the end of the season. The 33 year old has been with Bayern Munich since way back in 2011, when he made a big money move over from Genoa. Since then he’s been a fairly regular member of the first team setup, but now, it appears as if his time with Bayern is coming to an end.
Don’t expect him to just retire, though, with reports suggesting that there is interest overseas in China. It wouldn’t exactly be the worst idea in the world for him to make the jump over, and financially speaking, it makes a lot of sense.
More and more players appear to be interested in picking up one big final payday either in China, Japan or the United States, and while many don’t agree with that, it’s arguably the best thing they could do not only for themselves but for their families too.
