Raheem Sterling 6/5 to score anytime against Tottenham in Saturday’s Premier League showdown

Competition: Premier League

Market: Raheem Sterling to score anytime

Odds: 6/5 @ 888sport

Looking to pile even more pressure onto Tottenham this weekend, a high-flying Manchester City will host Spurs on Saturday evening.

Starting with the hosts, booking their spot in the quarter-finals of this year’s FA Cup thanks to a 3-1 victory away at Swansea in midweek, Manchester City have continued on a remarkable winning run. Still boosted by that stunning 4-1 romp away at Anfield last weekend, Pep Guardiola’s side have won each of their last 15 straight matchups across all formats, a run that stems back to December 15th. Looking to lay down another marker at the Etihad, it could be worth keeping an eye out for the red-hot Raheem Sterling on Saturday evening. Once again getting himself on the scoresheet against Swansea earlier in the week, the England international has now found the net in his last four straight appearances on the spin. Spearheading a new-look City side, the England ace should be confident of extending on that tally this weekend.

As for the visitors, crashing out of the FA Cup in what was the most dramatic of fashion earlier in the week, Tottenham are a side in the midst of a real struggle. Eventually hit with that 5-4 loss away at Everton on Wednesday night, it appears that the pressure is really starting to pile on Jose Mourinho’s shoulders. Despite landing that routine 2-0 win at home against leading relegation scrappers West Brom last weekend, the was just a minor bounce for the former Manchester United boss. Slipping down to eighth in the table and in a real uphill battle if they’re to secure a Champions League return this year, Spurs have lost four of their last five matchups across all formats. Despite landing that 2-0 win when they faced off against the Sky Blues back in November, Mourinho’s side face a tough trip to a high-flying Manchester City on Saturday evening.
