According to a recent report from Marca, Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic is contemplating a move from the Nou Camp to either Juventus or Manchester United. Both teams have been interested in the Croatian sensation for quite some time now, and given that he is no longer a consistent starter for Barca, it makes all the sense in the world for him to look elsewhere.
Frenkie de Jong has been able to seize his opportunity at the expense of Rakitic, and at the age of 31, it’s clear to see that money isn’t the motivating factor here.
He wants to be playing week in and week out before his career starts to slow down, and nobody can blame the guy for wanting that kind of luxury.
United feels like it’d be a slightly riskier move than Juve, mainly because the Italian giants have way more momentum going for themselves right now than United.
