Rakitic hints at Barcelona exit

“I want the best for Barcelona and I want to fight to make sure I’m ready when the team needs me. But if I see that things don’t change, I’ll talk to the club.”

Those are the words of Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic, who has made it clear that he could leave Barcelona during the January transfer window if he winds up losing his place in the club’s starting line-up. The future of the Croatian star has been a source of great discussion since long before the summer transfer window even began, with a multitude of clubs being linked with signing him. For a while it appeared as if Inter Milan and Manchester United were in pole position to get some kind of a deal done, but at this moment in time, the race is wide open as Rakitic continues to try and secure his place within the ranks of Barca’s elite in the middle of the park.
