Rakitic open to AC Milan move

AC Milan are not in a great situation right now. After a couple of years big spending and failing to achieve their targets, they are once again trying to get into the market and get the signings they need. However, with less money have this time around, they have to be much smarter.

One of their ideas in order to strengthen their midfield is to sign Ivan Rakitic from Barcelona. He is not happy in Spain anymore, with Ernesto Valverde not playing him very often and he spoke numerous times about his desire to play, either at Barcelona or elsewhere. And now Calciomercato are reporting that Rakitic is open to joining AC Milan.

Milan could be set to snap him up when the transfer window opens again in January 2020, having been told by the Croatia international that he is interested in swapping Barcelona for Milan and to finally get a bigger role.
