According to a recent report from Marca, Ivan Rakitic has revealed to Barcelona that he’d like to remain at the club for another three years – the remainder of his contract – in the wake of their 4-2 triumph over Sevilla. The comeback win was one of the biggest moments of the season for Barca, who look set to retain their La Liga crown.
Rakitic, however, has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan for quite some time now. The Italian side have made no secret of the fact that they want to bring the 30 year old over to the San Siro, and it seemed as if that move was going to be on the cards not so long ago.
Rakitic began his tenure with Barcelona when he made the switch over, ironically enough, from Sevilla. He’s also a valued member of the Croatian national team, and has been ever since he debuted back in 2007.
