Former Chelsea midfielder Ramires claims he intends to play for the London Blues again, according to UOL Esporte.
The versatile Brazilian made 246 appearances for Chelsea over the span of five and a half years and scored 37 goals in the process. During his time there, he picked up every major trophy available – the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and Europa League. He has spent his time since January 2016 playing for Jiangsu Suning in China.
He scored probably the most important goal on Chelsea’s road to Champions League glory in 2012, when he cut Barcelona‘s lead in half at the Camp Nou in the second leg of that season’s semifinal.
Antonio Conte’s men have begun losing the battle to secure Champions League involvement for next season, and the return of such an experienced player could be a significant boost for their 2018/19 campaign. However, Goal.com claim that Chelsea are pursuing alternative targets and that for Ramires, Inter Milan is a likelier option.
