Chelsea midfielder Ramires believes his coach Andre Villas-Boas has all the tools to go on and become the best manager in the game.
The 34-year-old took charge of the Premier League giants in June after guiding Porto to an impressive treble in 2010/11, winning the Liga Sagres, Portuguese Cup and the Europa League.
He has come under fire after a tough spell for the London club, who are fourth in the league and 11 points off the top of the table.
But Brazilian Ramires is confident his boss has all the ingredients to make his mark at the club.
“I already knew him from my days in Portugal, but not personally,” Ramires told Arena SporTV. “He treats every player equally, regardless of who they are.”
“He has everything to be as good as (Jose) Mourinho or even better. Of course, in order for that to happen, we need to help him too.”
“He has everything to be the best coach in the world. I can say that he is one of the best coaches I have had in my career.”
The Brazilian international, who joined Chelsea in 2010, credited Villas-Boas for his good form this season.
“His arrival at Chelsea has contributed a lot to what I am experiencing right now,” he said.
