Southampton midfielder Gaston Ramirez is being linked with a winter return to Italian Serie A, Sport Mediaset can reveal.
The Uruguay has largely struggled to prove his worth in English Premier League and is almost certain to leave the Saints in January.
The latest reports suggest that former club Bologna are keen on Ramirez having secured a return to Italy’s top flight.
Felsinei could be in for a difficult season and they want their former star to help team’s survival bid.
At the same time, Lazio and Penarol are also keen on the 24-year-old footballer, who is desperate to get his career back on track following a disappointing stint at St Mary’s.
After impressing in Italian Serie A, Ramirez did well during his first season in England, scoring 5 goals in 26 Premier League games, but numerous injuries that ensued seriously halted his progress and all but ended his Premiership career.
