Spain international Sergio Ramos has revealed he would like to spend the rest of his career at Real Madrid.
The highly-rated defender has previously this season been linked with a move away from the club and Manchester United was reportedly amongst the clubs interested.
“This is my fifth season here and I’m very happy,” Ramos told TV programme Punto Pelota. “I would love to retire at this great club.”
Ramos joined Real Madrid in a €27million deal from Sevilla five years ago.
Real Madrid faces a battle with Barcelona for the La Liga in the run-in of this season.
“Both Barcelona and Real Madrid deserve to win the title,” Ramos said.
“I hope we end up doing so. We don’t depend on ourselves, but we believe Barcelona could make a mistake.”
