According to Sky Sports News, Aaron Ramsey has not signed a pre-contract agreement despite what earlier reports today suggested. However, he is said to be moving closer and closer to a Juventus switch, with the Italian champions being his preferred destination.
Several major teams around European football have registered their interest in the Welshman, which should serve as an indication of how highly valued he is amongst the continent. Alas, even with all of this interest it seems unlikely that the Gunners will do a U-turn and keep him on the books, probably because he doesn’t quite feature into Unai Emery’s future plans.
Even if he did, though, it’d likely be quite hard to convince him to remain at the Emirates now, given that the opportunity to move to such a highly regarded club like Juventus doesn’t exactly come around every day.
Either way, this is moving much faster than many had anticipated.
