Rangers 11/10 to beat St. Johnstone to nil in Saturday’s Scottish Premiership clash

Competition: Scottish Premiership

Market: Rangers win to nil

Odds: 11/10 @ Bet 365

Still believing that they are firmly still in the title race, Steven Gerrard’s Rangers side will welcome St. Johnstone to Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with Gerrard’s side, extending their unbeaten run to five matches last week, the mood in Rangers’ camp should be on a high. Now winning their last four Premiership matches on the bounce, it will be the Blues’ recent defensive stability most impressing the former England midfielder. Along with leading goalscorer Alfredo Morelos already bagging 15 goals this season, Saturday’s hosts have now conceded just one goal at Ibrox in over 400 minutes of action. Given Rangers’ impressive form entering 2019, they should be confident of extending that run this weekend.

As for the visitors, while Rangers might be enjoying arguably their brightest run of the season, the same can not be said for St. Johnstone. Slumping to a 5-0 hammering away at Celtic last time out, the Saints have now lost their last five matches on the bounce and their form in the final third will be a growing concern for Tommy Wright. Now in a battle to secure a top-six finish in the Premiership, Saturday’s visitors have registered just one goal on their five-match losing run. Given St. Johnstone’s worrying form in the final third, we’re backing a comfortable victory for Rangers at Ibrox.
