Rangers captain Barry Ferguson has reiterated his desire to stay at Ibrox. The midfielder was one of a number of high-profile players linked with a move in the January transfer window to ease the club’s financial problems.

“You hear all the speculation, but I want to stay here. I’m glad we kept everybody and it releases a lot of pressure off the guys,” BBC reported Ferguson said.

“We know we’re here to the end of the season at least and it means we can go and try to win some trophies.”
