Rangers are interested in signing Kenny McLean from Norwich City in the January transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun. It has been reported that Gers manager Steven Gerrard wants to bring the midfielder to Ibrox to boost his side’s chances of beating bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title this season.
The report in the British tabloid has added that Rangers may offer Norwich in the Championship in England a deal paid in instalments or sign him on loan in the January transfer window with an obligation to make it permanent in the summer of 2021. Rangers reportedly wanted to secure the services of the Scotland international in the summer of 2020.
McLean has been on the books of Norwich since 2018. According to WhoScored, the 28-year-old Scotland international has made four starts and four substitute appearances in the Championship for Norwich so far this season, scoring one goal in the process.
