Rangers linked with Leeds United forward Joe Gelhardt

Rangers are interested in signing Joe Gelhardt from Leeds United in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. Scottish Premiership giants Rangers are keen on a loan deal for Gelhardt, and Leeds, who are playing in the Championship this season, are willing to sanction a temporary exit for the forward.

Gelhardt has been on the books of Leeds, who are keen on Dennis Cirkin, since the summer of 2020 when he joined from Wigan Athletic. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder had a loan spell at Sunderland in 2023. He has failed to establish himself in the Leeds first team and is down the pecking order under head coach Daniel Farke.

The English youngster has made only two substitute appearances in the Championship and has played once in the Carabao Cup for Leeds so far this season. The West Yorkshire club do not want to sell Gelhardt, according to TEAMtalk, which has claimed that a move to Rangers could tempt him.
