Rangers are ready to fight for the Scottish Premier League title. Steven Gerrard has the goal of finally knocking Celtic down from the throne and for that Rangers have bought Jermaine Defoe on a permanent deal, but they have now added another player, a much interesting and intriguing signing. The club from Glasgow announced that they have signed Ianis Hagi on a loan deal from Belgium’s champions Genk.
Hagi is Romanian winger who will stay at Rangers until the end of the season, but the Scottish giants will also have the option to buy the player if they are satisfied with his performances. Hagi is the son of Gheorghe Hagi, the legendary Romanian footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s.
Hagi junior had signed for Genk last summer, after thoroughly impressing at the Under-21 European Championship in Italy, where Romania reached the semifinals, with the youngster scoring goals and leading the team.
