Rangers’ Scottish Premier League match at St Johnstone on Saturday was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

A pitch inspection by the referee early on Saturday revealed areas of the McDiarmid Park pitch were completely frozen, making it impossible to play the fixture.

The postponement gives second placed Celtic the opportunity to reduce Rangers’ 10-point lead at the top of the table when they face Dundee United later on Saturday.
